Greenwood Explosion: One Year Later

March 17th, 2017 · No Comments · Uncategorized

It’s been one year since the Greenwood Ave. explosion, damaging and completely destroying several local businesses. Please join the Greenwood Community Council on Tuesday, March 21 at 7:00 for a recap on recovery efforts, fundraising results, and to address any lingering concerns you may have for your safety and the safety of our community.

This explosion shook (literally) our community, but we remain thankful for the Seattle Fire Department and first responders who came to the scene, and to the community and business owners who took an unfortunate, destructive event and responded in ways like Sammy Arsheed, whose business Mr. Gyros was completely destroyed in the explosion, “we rebuild, brother. Better than ever. This will not slow us down, friend.”

*We will also be holding GCC officer elections! Please vote!
